I'm the resident fly casting instructor at Onny
Vale trout Fishery, you can have a casting lesson, instruction in fishing, either on a one to one basis or in a large group
(corporate days welcome). If you want privacy you can hire one of the pools completely for yourself or your group. There is
a fully equipped lodge if you wish to take a break for refreshments or if you would like a corporate day with a lovely lunch
break, Alison will be only to happy to fulfil your requirements with prior notice. You can also hire tackle to fish at Onny Vale, if you're passing by, or on holiday and haven't
any equipment with you.
If your more experianced fisherman and you would like your day on a river, I have access
to of the most picturesque rivers in Wales, or you can also go to larger stillwaters for rainbow trout or wild brown trout.
I can also organise clay pidgeon shooting days, or if you want to break the day up have half a day fishing and half
a day clay pidgeon shooting.

Welcome to Onny vale trout Fishery |
Onny Vale is set in the peaceful hills of the Mid Shropshire and
Powys border, which is a designated area of outstanding natural beauty.
There are five lakes/pools set below Corndon
Hill, overlooked by Stapoley Hill.
Three pools are for Trout, Fly Fishing Only and the other two are for coarse fishing.
(Onny Vale is a Trout Master Water)
Other facilities on site include a fishing Lodge with tackle and flies on sale,
refreshments are available. We have a Male/Female disabled toilet.
We have a small 5 Pitch Caravan Site (electricity
unavailable) for vans and campers with additional room for several tents. Please book in advance.
All facilities are
within easy access of the Lodge and car parks.
The fishery is owned and run by Dave and Alison Gricmanis it is maintained
to a high standard and is always well stocked. |
